Slate roof with lead hips and a glass lantern
About this job
Natural slate on a hipped roof, with the hips covered in lead and the slating cut and dressed around a glass roof lantern. Getting slate and lead to meet cleanly around a lantern and a tall chimney stack takes care, and those joints are where many older roofs start to leak.
The photos run from close-ups of the lead hips to the whole roof from the air.
